The titles

  • 508 advance out of 2,793: fewer than one in five reaches Sunday.
  • Day 2 belongs to the dragon: 151 Dragapult, pure and variants combined.
  • Alakazam with Dusknoir is the most effective: nearly one player in three advances. Two Poles will take it to the final.
  • Festival Lead and Basic Box hold up: around thirty and 41 lists at Day 2.

Saturday

Welcome, trainers. At Frankfurt, Saturday does a real cut: 18.2% of the field makes Day 2. The dragon is the most represented, 88 pure Dragapult and 151 counting variants. Basic Box (41) and Slowking (40) follow.

The number that matters, though, is conversion: Alakazam with Dusknoir moves 8 players out of 26 forward, and on Sunday Chałupka and Łaszkiewicz will play for the title. Łaszkiewicz arrives as the Prague champion and a seventh-place finisher at Worlds.
