How you get to Tokyo

This is the first World Championship of the Beyblade X series. The winners of the Regular and Open classes at the qualifiers in Manila, Sydney, Paris, Los Angeles, Singapore, Mexico City, São Paulo, Auckland, Bangkok, Tokyo, Guangzhou, Taipei, Jakarta, Seoul, Istanbul, Toronto, Kuala Lumpur, London, Cologne, Hong Kong and Chicago go to Worlds. The preliminary rounds are played on Saturday, October 11, the finals on Sunday, October 12, with 19 bladers in the Regular class and 14 in the Open.

How points are scored

Under the Beyblade X rules, a Spin Finish, when the opponent stops spinning first, is worth 1 point. An Over Finish, with the Bey knocked out of the arena, and a Burst Finish, with the opposing Bey coming apart, are worth 2 points. An Xtreme Finish, with the Bey sent into the Xtreme zone after a run on the rail, is worth 3.

The finals

  • Regular, final: Leobardo and Balya trade points throughout the match, then Leobardo closes it with an Over Finish.
  • Regular, third place: Berguiny beats Jung U K. (Seoul) without conceding a battle.
  • Open, final: Fahreddin wins the first battle with a Burst Finish, the second with a Spin Finish and the decisive one with an Xtreme Finish.
  • Open, third place: Omanjyu King beats Ha Jun Y. (Seoul) with an Xtreme Finish, after a back-and-forth.

The Japanese bladers' run

The two home bladers make their way. Minato, Regular, beats Jit An T. (Kuala Lumpur) and then Tong Yu Z. (Guangzhou) with a Spin Finish, and finishes in the top eight. Omanjyu King, Open, beats Xavier (Singapore) 2-0 and then Akmal (Kuala Lumpur) with a Burst and an Xtreme Finish. He loses the semifinal, but takes third place.

The combos

TOMY does not publish the champions' combos. According to a retailer's blog, Leobardo plays Aero Pegasus 7-60 and Wizard Rod 1-60 Hexa: the information is not confirmed by official sources. Wizard Rod is the most-seen blade of that period, and a year later we will find it in the two winning combos of the Tokyo GP.

In the champions' words

  • Leobardo: dedicates the title, with joy and pride, to the Beyblade community of Mexico City.
  • Balya: joy for reaching the final and regret over the title; promises to win next time.
  • Berguiny: the best moment is the Xtreme Finish with which he wins the quarterfinal.
  • Fahreddin: “It feels like a dream”; he thanks his supporters and says he has shown that the bladers of Istanbul are strong.
  • Kyle: the joy of having challenged everyone and of having talked with players from all over the world.
  • Omanjyu King: the result stings, but the free battles were a celebration: Beyblade unites even people who do not speak the same language.

What came next

In 2026 the circuit becomes the BEYBLADE X GP: qualifiers around the world and a world final at ICONSIAM in Bangkok on December 12 and 13, 2026. At the Tokyo GP on October 11, 2026, Tokyomo won in the Open and Fuku in the Regular.
